Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa was one of the main highlights I was looking forward to on our 2-week Mauritius trip. Located on the West coast of the island on Flic en Flac beach this 5 star luxury resort offers complete privacy and an ultra relaxing atmosphere.
DE: Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa war eines der Highlights, auf das ich mich auf unserer zweiwöchigen Mauritius-Reise gefreut hatte. An der Westküste der Insel am Strand von Flic en Flac gelegen, bietet dieses 5-Sterne-Luxusresort absolute Privatsphäre und eine ultraentspannte Atmosphäre.
The resort consists of 65 individually standing villas nestled between the lush greens. Each villa has a private pool, a patio, and a huge indoor space. We were staying at one of the Luxury Suite Pool Villas. This is also where we spent most of our time. Let me show you in detail.
DE: Das Resort besteht aus 65 individuell stehenden Villen, die sich in üppiges Grün schmiegen. Jede Villa verfügt über einen privaten Pool, eine Terrasse und einen riesigen Innenraum. Wir waren in einer der Luxury Suite Pool Villas untergebracht. Hier verbrachten wir auch die meiste Zeit.
The villa is huge! We had a big outdoor patio with a seating area and a private pool. The villa itself consisted of a large bedroom with an extra comfy bed, a work station, a minibar and TV, a walkin closet and of course a spacious bathroom. The bathroom was especially beautiful and I loved that there is also an outdoor shower.
DE: Die Villa ist riesig! Wir hatten eine große Außenterrasse mit einem Sitzbereich und einem privaten Pool. Die Villa selbst bestand aus einem großen Schlafzimmer mit einem extra bequemen Bett, einem Arbeitsplatz, einer Minibar und einem Fernseher, einem begehbaren Kleiderschrank und natürlich einem geräumigen Badezimmer. Das Badezimmer war besonders schön und ich fand es toll, dass es auch eine Freiluftdusche gibt.
After relaxing a bit by the pool we headed out to explore the resort starting with the pool and beach area. There is an infinity pool overlooking the beach with some sun loungers.
DE: Nachdem wir uns ein wenig am Pool entspannt hatten, haben wir uns auf den Weg gemacht, um das Resort zu erkunden, beginnend mit dem Pool- und Strandbereich. Es gibt einen Infinity-Pool mit einigen Sonnenliegen mit Blick auf den Strand.
On our first evening we headed to Cilantro, the A La Carte Indian restaurant. Since we were on a Half Board Package we had a credit for the A La Carte options. Or you can go for the Half Board menu which comes with no extra charge. Both, food and service were great.
DE: An unserem ersten Abend gingen wir ins Cilantro, dem indischen A La Carte Restaurant. Da wir ein Halbpensionspaket gebucht hatten, hatten wir eine Gutschrift für die A-la-carte-Optionen. Oder Ihr entscheidet euch für das Halbpensionsmenü ohne Aufpreis. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service waren großartig.
After a couple of drinks at the Breakers Bar we returned back to our cozy villa. The next morning we had our breakfast in our villa which was a real treat.
DE: Nach ein paar Drinks an der Breakers Bar kehrten wir in unsere gemütliche Villa zurück. Am nächsten Morgen frühstückten wir in unserer Villa, was ein wahres Highlight war.
After this lovely breakfast I was excited for my appointment at the spa, which is one of the main features of the resort. First I had a consultation with the resident doctor who specializes in Ayurvedic treatments and gives you a complimentary consultation. Based on the outcome your spa treatment will be tailormade accordingly. After the consultation I had a mother to be massage and it was perfect! A spa visit is definitely a must when at Maradiva.
DE: Nach diesem köstlichen Frühstück freute ich mich besonders auf meinen Termin im Spa, das eines der Hauptmerkmale des Resorts ist. Zuerst hatte ich ein Beratungsgespräch mit dem Spa Arzt, der auf Ayurveda-Behandlungen spezialisiert ist und euch kostenlos berät. Basierend auf dem Ergebnis wird dann die Spa-Behandlung entsprechend maßgeschneidert. Nach der Beratung hatte ich eine Mother to be Massage und es war perfekt! Ein Spa-Besuch ist auf jeden Fall ein Muss, wenn Ihr im Maradiva seid.
In the evening we visited Teppan, the Japanese outlet. This was our favorite dinner so far. The intimate atmosphere and the show cooking were really great and on top of that the food was amazing. You have to try the Rock Shrimp Tempura!
DE: Am Abend besuchten wir das Teppan, das japanische Restaurant im Resort. Dies war bisher unser Lieblingsessen. Die intime Atmosphäre und das Show Cooking waren wirklich großartig und obendrein war das Essen fantastisch. Ihr müsst das Rock Shrimp Tempura probieren!
On our last day we had breakfast at Coast 2 Coast restaurant, which also serves Lunch and Dinner. The breakfast is a combination of buffet and A La Carte and everything was really high quality and delicious.
DE: An unserem letzten Tag frühstückten wir im Coast 2 Coast Restaurant, wo es auch Mittag- und Abendessen gibt. Das Frühstück ist eine Kombination aus Buffet und A La Carte und alles war wirklich hochwertig und lecker.
Overall we had the most relaxing days here at Maradiva and really got us pampered. This place is great for honeymooners or couples who seek luxury, comfort and ultimate privacy.
DE: Insgesamt hatten wir ein paar sehr erholsame und entspannte Tage hier im Maradiva und haben uns wirklich verwöhnen lassen. Dieser Ort ist ideal für die Flitterwoche oder Paare, die Luxus, Komfort und ultimative Privatsphäre suchen.
