Our third and last stop was the beautiful coast of Jambiani, which is located on the east coast of the island. Here we stayed Sharazad Boutique Hotel a small and unique boutique hotel directly by the beach. I loved the vibe of the hotel the minute we arrived. We were greeted by a cute cat. Since I love cats and was missing mine very much this already made my day.
This hotel is true boutique hotel and you can feel the effort and love behind each detail. I was also very much impressed by the history of this place. The owners moved to Zanzibar 20 years a ago and built themselves a small house here and had a beautiful wedding on the beach. This house grew to became the cute Sharazad Boutique Hotel. Although it appears that the feeling of being a big family did not vanish. I also loved the fact that this is a eco friendly resort. They have Solar panels, LED lights, a desalination plant and waste recycling implemented throughout the property.
Our room was one of the Ocean View Villas, directly located at the beach. You have your own patio and direct access to the beach. The decor was very nice and small details like the beach hats and beach tote were very nice.
We booked on a Full Board basis which gave us plenty of options to choose from the A La Carte menu as well as the daily specials. The hotel restaurant is directly at the beach. Food was also very good, I especially loved the home made Avocado ice cream.
In the afternoon we had relaxing walks on the white sand beach. It's very impressive especially during low tide.
I can really recommend this place if you are looking for an intimate and cozy boutique hotel.
