Japan is a true heaven for coffee lovers and it comes as no surprise that Tokyo has plenty of beautiful coffee shops with excellent coffee.
Here are my favorite coffee places in Tokyo. If you are looking for toddler friendly cafes in Tokyo this list has also some options for you.
Little Darling Coffee Roasters
Located in an old ware house with a huge outdoor garden this place is popular among families with kids. They also have a small food selection. It is a true oasis in the city. The closest metro station is Aoyama.
Allpress Espresso Tokyo Roastery & Cafe
Also known as "Coffee Town", the area Kiyosumi-Shirakawa is home to many great coffee shops. We loved the open space concept of this place and the coffee was also great
Bongen Coffee
Located in Ginza this coffee place is very popular and usually there is a line, but it is definitely worth the wait. Ginza only has a few good coffee shops and this one is definitely on top of my list.
Muji Cafe at Muji Flagship Store Ginza
Technically not a coffee shop but one of my favorite places in Ginza to wind down and enjoy a good coffee in a beautiful and calm atmosphere. Located on the 6th floor of the Ginza Flagship Store of Muji you will find this beautifully decorated cafe.
Blue Bottle Coffee - Roppongi
The American coffee chain has several locations across Tokyo but I especially loved their Roppongi location. It has a beautiful outdoor space and is great for relaxing or getting some work done.
Gyre Food
I would not advertise it for the best coffee but still pretty decent. But I loved this place for it's stunning and spacious interiors as well as the outdoor sitting space overlooking Omotesando Avenue. Also great with a toddler.
Starbucks Coffee - Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
The coffee is Starbucks but the location is priceless! Can be difficult to secure a spot though.
The Matcha Tokyo
Technically not a coffee shop but a must visit when in Tokyo. They have two locations: One in Omotesando (which is the prettier one) and one inside Myashita Mall (Which is mainly for takeaway).
Higuma Doughnuts × Coffee Wrights Omotesando
One of my favorite stops in Omotesando. The location is beautiful, the donuts are yummy and the coffee is also good. What else can you ask for :)
